National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center
April 22-24, 2008The Operators’ Training School will be held in conjunction with The National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) in Edwardsville, Illinois, April 22-24, 2008. The three-day program is designed as The Practical Workshop for ethanol plant operators and will be organized around lectures and visits to the NCERC pilot plant facility, where classroom theory will be put into context.
Lectures will take place at Crystal Garden/GC Cuisine, a short distance from NCERC, and will cover the complete processing areas, consisting of raw materials through distillation and co-products. To support the program, laboratory and functional demonstrations will be conducted at NCERC. Troubleshooting and case studies will also be discussed, along with the needs for proper documentation control and baseline studies.
