Lallemand Ethanol Technology’s parent company, Lallemand Inc. began producing distillers yeast in 1973. The Lallemand Fermented Beverage Division carried on this tradition by developing yeast and yeast nutrients for the European, Latin America and Caribbean markets. Lallemand Ethanol Technology was formed in 2004 with the acquisition and integration of regional alcohol and distilling activities into a new global business unit. Lallemand Ethanol Technology became part of the legal entity Lallemand Specialties Inc. and established its headquarters in Milwaukee.
